At Casa Helotes Senior Center, we are proud to offer nutritious congregate meals to our senior community in partnership with the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG). This vital program provides adults aged 60 and older with hot, well-balanced meals served in a welcoming, social environment.
Our goal is to support the health and well-being of older adults by ensuring access to consistent, high-quality meals while also encouraging social interaction and community engagement. Meals are served Monday through Friday at 12pm and are planned according to nutritional guidelines to meet the dietary needs of seniors.
Thanks to our partnership with AACOG, meals are provided at no cost to eligible participants. While voluntary donations are always appreciated, no one is ever turned away due to inability to contribute.
Casa Helotes’ collaboration with AACOG allows us to be part of a larger regional effort to combat food insecurity and isolation among older adults. Through AACOG’s support, we are able to expand our reach and impact within the Helotes community, ensuring that seniors have access not only to food, but to friendship, resources, and support.
If you or a loved one are interested in joining us for meals or learning more about the program, please contact us or stop by the center. We’d love to welcome you to our table!
