Hatha yoga is a practice of yoga that encourages us to focus on our breath, maintain steady balance and promotes stillness in the mind through asanas (poses) that help build strength and flexibility.  All individuals must be able to get up off the floor without the use of a chair or other aid.  Must provide your own yoga mats, straps, and blocks. By donation.

Try a safe and heart-healthy aerobics class to energize your active lifestyle using low-impact movements that focus specifically on building upper-body and core strength plus cardio endurance.

 This fun and innovative class was created by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and is offered to seniors all across Texas. Learn and practice strength, flexibility and endurance-building exercises designed to keep you fit and independent. Exercises are done seated and/or standing and can be modified to meet participant needs.  Sponsored by Bexar Area Agency on Aging.  

We are so excited to introduce a new fitness class that has never been taught at Casa Helotes!  You don't want to miss the inaugural class on Wednesday March 18, 2020.

 Line dancing is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows, all facing either each other or in the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time. 

Improve flexibility, increase strength and refresh your mind and body with relaxation techniques.  The class is conducted while sitting in a chair.
